Mukta is named after the founder's elder uncle, Shri Mukta Prasad Dubey, fondly called Dadhi Dada (दाढ़ी दादा). He was the founder's guru and role model, and gave everything he had for him. This firm carries his name forward. In Hindi it carries two meanings: to be free (मुक्त), and a pearl (मोती). That is the idea behind the firm: help rural families, especially women, become free to earn on their own terms, and build enterprises with lasting value.
